Monday 16th - Do Now - Study! Quiz in 5! After Quiz create 2 circle maps for
the people of the East and Southeast and define Federation.
Tuesday 17th - Discuss page 27 Map Skills and different types of maps.
Assign Relative and Absolute Location activity for homework.
Wednesday 18th - Do Now- Get out homework and begin taking notes with Circle
maps! Review map skills, review chapter 1 material, assign Chapter 1 TEST
Thursday 19th - Do now- study for test! Go over chapter 1 sec. 2 Quiz, give
Chapter 1 test. After test students begin working independently on copying
new learning targets, handwritten progress reports, 10 vocabulary windows for
Chapter 2. No homework
Friday 20th - Do Now - Complete voc. windows. Discuss and go over each. Go
over Chapter 1 test, Intro. chapter 2 info. on page 40. Compare technology
today with technological inventions of the past. Finish reading page 40 and
41.

Monday 9th - Do Now - 5 minute review for quiz, give Chapter 1 Sec. 1 Quiz,
give back and go over U.S. Map test, Intro. Chapter 1 Sec. 2 and create
foldable
Tuesday 10th - Do Now - Get out Early American Civilaztion foldable and turn
to page 22, Continue reading/discussing, take notes/fill out foldable for the
Olmec and Maya, formative assessment with Maya BrainPop
Wednesday 11th - Continue reading sec. 2, discuss Aztec and take notes on
foldable, formative assessment with Aztec BrainPop, finish with Inca.
HOMEWORK - Take notes on Inca Empire and turn in tomorrow!
Thursday 12th - Check homework, use powerpoint to check, formative assessment
with Inca BrainPop, Go over chapter 1 sec. 1 Quiz,assign organization chart
that which covers all three civilizations, finish for homework
Friday 13th - Do Now - Write a paragraph that compares and contrasts the 4
native civilizations (you may use your homework as you write), Discuss
paragraphs, review vocabulary and information from sec. 2, use activote
formative assessment, assign Summative Chapter 1 Sec.2 Quiz
