Ms. Farris has worked as the school counselor at LMS for the past 9
years. Prior to that, she worked as a social counselor for the State of
Tennessee for 10 years.
In addition to providing weekly guidance classes for the entire student body
and individual/small group counseling as needed, Ms. Farris sponsors the
very active LMS Junior Beta Club.
We strive to teach all students the value of good character. We use the
Character Counts program and focus on one trait per month. This year we
will have monthly classes relating to bullying. We also do Too Good for
Drugs and Choosing the Best Life curriculums.
Each student also may come to see the counselor individually, at any
time, to discuss any private issues.
