SKILLS TO PRACTICE AT HOME: This Summer before going to first grade-

1. Read emergent-reader books (decodable books).   
 
2. Practice counting to 100.

3. Write the numbers 0 to 20.

4. Match a number of objects with a written numeral 0-20.

5. Recognize and blend beginning, middle, and ending sounds in simple three 
letter words.

6. SIGHT WORDS:  I, am, the, little, to, a, have, is, my, we, like, he, for,  
me, with, she, see, look, they, you, of, are, that, do,
one, two, three, four, five, go , here, from, yellow,blue, green,
what, was, said, where, come.

7. Review all letters. 

8. Print upper and lowercase letters.

9. Identifies opposites.

10.Recognize and produce rhyming words.

11.Count syllables in spoken words.

12.Understand word families (cat, hat, sat,/ dog, frog, log).

13.Practice adding numbers together.

14.Practice subtracting numbers.
