This school year I will be starting my 19th.year of teaching Kindergarten.
I have a B.S. in Home Economics, M.A. in Early Childhood Education and an
Ed.S. in Elementary Education. I have worked as a 4-H Extension Agent
with North Carolina State University and as Director of Educational
Talent Search at Lees-McRae College in North Carolina.
I am married to Charles Duncan. Charles is a retired officer of the U.S.
Air Force and is a retired French teacher. We have three dogs: Chris,
Elaine and Rhett.
I attended Pomona and Pleasant Hill Elementary Schools and C.C.H.S.
I hope that my students will enjoy learning and coming to school every
day. MARTIN CHARACTER PLEDGE: I am responsible for my actions and behaviors
today. I will do my work and learn. I will respect the feelings, property,
and rights of others. I will be a good citizen by doing what is right; not
because I'm being watched by others but because it is the right thing for
