               AM Skill # 43  Determine a whole number given a part and a percentage less than 100%
                  1.  Complete and discuss bellwork.
                  2.  Practice setting up the percent equation and then solving it.
             HW:  Workbook page 104 #1-13

                     3.  Review the % equation, then quiz over objectives #40-43 (see above)
                     4.  Introduce % of increase and decrease.

Thursday  1.  Complete and discuss bellwork.
                2.  Practice finding the percent of increase and decrease on individual whiteboards.

                            Practice #11-22 on whiteboards from page 352.  Move on to word problems.

Monday  1.  Complete and discuss bellwork.
               2.  Check over/discuss homework - how to set up proportion word problems.
               3.  Scan hw.  If correct, work on puzzle.  If incorrect, continue to practice solving proportions and 
                    writing proportions from word problems.
         HW:  AM practice for selected students who haven't passed work in class.
 
Tuesday   1.  Complete and discuss bellwork.
                2.  Scan hw.
                3.  Quiz over objectives:  #35: Solve a proportion with a decimal.
                                                       #36: Word Problems: Write and solve a proportion
                                                       #37: Estimating a population by solving a proportion.

                      2.  New Skill: Using a proportion to find distances on a map.

 Monday   1.  Complete and discuss bellwork.
                 2.  Practice identifying equivalent ratios (#34).  Determine proportionality (#35).
              Classwork: Complete exercise over skills - # 33 & 34.  Highest grade earned for the day
                    will be recorded.
         HW:  Individualized AM as needed over # 33 and 34.
          Quiz tomorrow over #30-34

                    1.  Complete and discuss bellwork.
                    2.  Practice cross multiplying and then dividing to solve the proportion.  Each student will 
                    practice on an individual whiteboard.  Students will take turns going to the smartboard,
                   blackboard, and overhead to work out the problems.

Thursday   1.  Complete and discuss bellwork.
                 2.  Grade/discuss homework.
                 3.  Practice solving proportions on AM.
                 4.  Begin to write proportions from word problems.
