Teaching is my third career. Previously I worked in International Marketing for a major Health and
Beauty Aids Company. Next we left my home state of Connecticut and moved to Tennessee to run a
hardware and small engine repair business. Then I decided I could help children be successful
through reading and connecting to peers around the world. After returning to UTC to obtain
credentials for teaching certificate and gaining teaching experience, I went back to gain my masters
in education. I have been involved with IEARN since 1999 and participate in the Learning Circles
Projects during the fall and spring sessions. Students learn about the world and cultures from peers
around the world. I hope you enjoy our work.
There are no boundaries to learning. The word can't is not in our vocabulary because we will try to
succeed.
