I have been with my students only a short time, but already I love them. I 
can hardly wait to "really" get to know them.  As time goes by, we spend so 
much time together, that I feel that these children are "part mine."  I 
always feel mixed emotions when they are promoted to the next grade.  I am 
happy that they are going, but sad that I lose them. It's a joy to see them 
again next year when they come back to school. I've no doubt that I will feel 
the same about this year's class.
