Mrs. Betty was born on the 4th of July and is very proud to share a birthday
with the greatest country on Earth --- the United States of America.
This is my 23rd year in teaching. I have taught 3rd grade four years, fourth
grade 12 years and this is my seventh year in second grade.
I was born in Henderson County near Lexington and graduated from University
of Tennessee,Martin.
I am married to Dr. Bill Hedspeth, who has been an educator for more than 40
years. He recently retired from Union University, Education Department. He
still remains active in the field of education, as he often comes to our
school to substitue for teachers.
I strive to provide an atmosphere that is conducive to learning. I really
care about my children and want them to know that I am there for them. I
want to motivate my students to do their best now in order to reap the
benefits of success in the future and to establish good work patterns that
will carry forth into any future endeavor.
