How do I get my child in your preschool class?

You may call the school and leave your name, your childs name, date of 
birth, a telephone number where you may be reached and whether or not you 
suspect any type of developmental delays in your child.

What kind of preschool program do you offer?

We offer a full inclusion preschool which includes both developmentally 
delayed and typical students.  We have a class for three year olds and a 
class for four year olds.

How does a child qualify as developmentally delayed?

We used a test called the Battelle Developmental Inventory II to test the 
five areas of development.  If a child shows a 25% delay in two or more 
areas or a 40% delay in one area, they qualify as developmentally delayed.

What is Child Find?

Child Find is a day set aside to test any child from birth to age five that 
is
not entering kindergarten in the fall.  They will be tested for vision,
hearing, motor skills, cognitive skills, speech & language, personal-social
skills, adaptive and expressive & receptive communication.
