Does every child have music?

Yes. Each student at MES has music for 30 minutes once per
week. We do not
have a classroom for music, so I go to the classrooms.

Will my child have a program?

Hopefully! As you know, we are very limited for space and
seating at concerts, and it's getting more difficult to do.

What if my child gets in trouble in music?

The goal for each class is to earn a "5" in music (compliment).
This means they repected each other and their things, followed
directions, participated, and were responsible for their
behavior. If a student can not do these on their own, I will
give them a warning and/or change their seating to help. I may
also send a note home or call parents if the problem persists.
I will do everything I can to create the best learning
environment for all students!

Do students get a grade in music?

Not individually. Classes earn a whole-class grade each week.
They receive a
number between 0 (lowest) and 5 (highest) for class behavior,
participation, and following directions. Their goal is to
receive a "5".
