I was born in Cortland, Ohio on September 5, 1981. I have lived in
4 states: Ohio, Indiana, Texas, and Tennessee. I have traveled all over the
world and visited several countries. Some of them are as follows: Scotland,
Belgium, London, Guyana, Honduras, Mexico, and my most recent being Cuzco, Peru.
I went to college at Freed-Hardeman University all four years and graduated in
2003.
This is my 8th year in teaching. I have taught 3rd grade 2 years, 1st grade
for 4 years and this is my 2nd year in second grade.
I am married to Reed Henson, who has been a youth minister since we met in
college in March of 2000. He loves his job and loves children almost as much
as I do! We have a 2 1/2 year old little boy, Hagan Davis Henson. I stayed
home with him for the first year of his life and now I am back teaching with
my wonderful 2nd grade class!
I strive to provide an atmosphere that is conducive to learning. I really
care about my children and want them to know that I am there for them. I
want to motivate my students to do their best now in order to reap the
benefits of success in the future and to establish good work patterns that
will carry forth into ANY future endeavor.
