Reading November 9 - November 13, 2009This week we will be reading The Big Circle. The skills the students will be working on this week: Distinguish between long/short vowel sounds, introduce long o (CVCe), contractions n't, 'm, 'll.The following ppts. are for your use at home on skills that we will be learning.
 November 16 - November 20, 2009This week we will be reading Life in the Forest. Skills we will be going over this week will be to continue learning about long u and long e, introduce inflected ending -ed, contractions, Author's purpose, One and one more than one. The students will continue to build on Vocabulary and the ppts. below will be helpful.
 November 30 - December 4, 2009
This week we will be reading Honey Bees. Students will be learning introduced long e: e, ee, and introduced nouns in sentences. Encourage your child to write a sentence that includes all of the following words: we, see, bee, green, tree. We will learn to compare and contrast stories. **Remember Friday is a 1/2 day**
