There will not be a reading story this week since we have already finished
our reading series for 1st grade. However, we will be working on a unit made
up of fairy tales, folk tales, fables and legends. Amazing words and
vocabulary words will come from these. They will be tested on Friday as
usual. Complete math sheet #13-3. Tomorrow we will have our awards, so
please have parents come at 8:00 in the morning. Make sure to wear your
green class shirt!
May 14
Awards are at 8:00 this morning. We will have a regular work day after
that in the morning, but will be participating in field day activities in the
afternoon. Please make sure to dress in appropriate clothes and tennis
shoes. Also, if you tend to burn easily, you might want to make sure to
bring sunscreen. Study your amazing and vocabulary words. There will not be
a math sheet tonight due to field day. Go over your Tuesday folder.
May 15
Continue to study your vocabulary and amazing words. There will not be a
spelling test this week. Remember there will not be a math sheet tonight
either. Box tops and Campbell's soup labels need to be turned in by Friday.
If you want to participate in LeBonheur on the Move next school year, you
must fill out the required paperwork that was sent home last week. See note
about the end of the school year party and sign up.
May 16
Study the vocabulary and amazing words for tomorrow's tests. Complete math
sheet #13-5. We will test over this final unit on Monday. Remember that
those of you who have not returned your library books, must do so as quickly
as possible. Mrs. Carol has to have all books returned and counted this
week. In the classroom we will be clearing out desks a little at a time, so
please continue to bring your bookbag to school each day. Thanks!
May 17
Have an amazing weekend! The year is quickly coming to an end! Please
remember that next week will be our last one. We will be dismissing after
the party on Wednesday. Please remember to bring whatever you agreed to
bring to the party. I can't believe this school year is already coming to a
close. I have loved every minute that I spent with each of you! I am going
to be so sad to see you go! You have made this year great!
