You will ONLY have homework on M,T,and Thursday. We will write all
assignments in the planner. Please check and sign the planner daily. This is
also where I will write notes to you.
READ, READ, READ:
Please read the story everynight. It is so repetitive and so necessary! I
also listen to them read daily. The most effective way to improve is
practice. They will also take a comprehensive A/R test on the story.
Vocabulary: Go over the words from the current story. They are found in the
middle rings of the homework folder. I will also assess voc. word meaning.I
do individual assessments and take a grade on these on Fridays.
Spelling: We will NOT HAVE SPELLING test this year! We are exploring our
words at school and will focus on higher order thinking with word meanings
and usage. We will study the words and phonics rules at school also.
Math: The B side is review of the daily lessons. Please check their work.
We will also be learning math facts at home for a grade.
