About The Teacher

I have been teaching at Medina Elementary School since 1995. I taught 4th
grade my first year and I have been teaching 3rd grade all the other years.

I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Education from the University of
Tennessee at Martin in the spring of 1995. I am a 1991 graduate of Peabody
High School in Trenton. I played softball and basketball throughout high
school.

In 1989, I met Joedy Stringer. We married on July 1, 1995. On September 7,
1998 we were blessed with our first child, Jaxon Dominic Stringer. Jaxon
will be a fifth grader at MMS. His sister, Jesse Sinclaire Stringer was born
on March 7, 2004. She will be a Kindergartener at MES. My parents are Bill
and Pat Howell of Trenton.

Mission For The Class

The mission for my class is to continue building the students' basic reading
and math skills. I want to prepare students for the 4th grade to the best of
my ability. It is my hope that each student will grow academically as much
as possible throughout his/her third grade year. I believe everyone has the
right to learn in a safe environment. I want my students to learn to be
organized, responsible, and caring individuals. These are qualities that
will be important to them throughout their lives.
