Welcome back to the website! I can't wait to see all of you on Monday, January
4th, 2010!! I have really missed you over the winter break!!!
In Reading we will have a new reading book & story this week. Our reading book
theme is "changes". What is changing in our world? What things don't change?
Our story is called "An Egg is an Egg".
We will learn about:
* the two sounds of "y"
* comparing & contrasting
* we should be reading about 20-30 words/minute
* weekly words are: always, become, day, everything, nothing, stays, things
In Math we will discuss the addition & subtraction facts table & fact families.
In Science things in the day & night time sky.
In Social Studies we will discuss timelines.
* We will have a new unit project for our new reading book theme. We will make
a timeline. I will send details soon, but be thinking about each year of your
life up until this year. If you have pictures it would be wonderful. I will
send details soon.
