Vocabulary Words

This week we are reading “Anansi Goes Fishing.”  Please practice reading
vocabulary words with your child. They will be using these in sentences,
matching, and fill in the blank
1.	consume – to eat or use something all up.
2.	prey – an animal that is hunted and killed by another animal for food.
3.	shrewd – very clever and smart.
4.	boast – to brag and speak too well about yourself.
5.	gloat – to think about something you are very satisfied with.
6.	snicker – to giggle or laugh in a mean way.
7.	contentment – a feeling of being pleased or satisfied.
8.	cure – to make better and healthy again.
9.	incident – something that happens or occurs.
