*** Homework is due the following school day. It is not taken later than the student's class
time. If it is not turned in, then the student will receive a zero for that assignment. The
assignment will not be taken late. If a student forgets to bring the assignment to class, then
I will allow them to get the assignment out of their locker. If this becomes a habit, then I
will notify the student that they will begin receiving a 10 point reduction on the grade for the
assignment each time they forget to bring it to class. The assignment will not be taken at a
later time. The notebook is checked during the test. However, it is not checked every test
date. Therefore, I will notify the student of when the notebook will be checked. I grade the
notebook on organization of bellwork, notes, and homework. The notebooks should be divided into
two sections: bellwork/notes and homework. If the student keeps up with it daily, then this
should an easy 100. I do not provide extra credit opportunities because of study hall and the
ability to improve grade through keeping up the notebook.***
***If a student is absent on the date when something is assigned, then they will have two days
to make-up the assignment. The same goes for a test. However, if the student is absent the day
of the test but not previous to the test, the student will be required to take the test upon
their return to school. It is the students responsibility to contact the teacher to receive any
make-up work.***
