LATIN EXTRA CREDIT OPPORTUNITY
Students may receive five points of extra credit for bringing in a "Latin
moment" and explaining its meaning. Latin being used in the world (i.e.,
Latin in a title of a magazine/newspaper article or Latin phrase in a non-
Latin book) would be an example of a "Latin moment."
Students may also receive five points extra credit for:
1) designing an advertisement to promote one of Rick Riordan's Percy Jackson
series or one of Caroline Lawrence's The Roman Mysteries series.
2) creating an e-mail/letter from one character to another about a decision
that a character in one of Rick Riordan's Percy Jackson series or one of
Caroline Lawrence's The Roman Mysteries series made.
MATH EXTRA CREDIT OPPORTUNITY
Students may bring in a box of kleenex and a container of a cloth hand
sanitizer for extra credit. Students may only bring in one item for extra
credit per nine weeks.
Students may receive extra credit for bringing in a "math moment" and
explaining its connection to a current math topic. Math being used in the
world would be an example of a "math moment." Magazine or newspaper articles
would be great sources for examples.
