Math Information
*Rules: The rules for math are the same rules that apply throughout the
school:
1. Be respectful
2. Be responsible
3. Make good choices
*Procedures: We have a class routine that is performed daily during math.
*Welcome Work-5 question review page
*Writing math prompt
*Daily graph question
*Timed assessment (multiplication)
*Problem of the day (POD)
*Word-a-Day-math related
*Lesson from our new math series-(along with a introduction video of
the lesson)
*Marker board review games/dice games/math competition
*Class speed: Our class moves very quickly. We have numerous state
standards to cover in a short amount of time. The students must learn how to
make a smooth transition from one assignment to the next.
*Homefun-given nightly to review the skills taught in class. The students
must correct any mistakes from the previous night’s homefun.
*Math notebooks –The students will keep a math notebook with any notes from
the day. They can use this notebook to help them with any Homefun questions
they aren’t sure about.
