Classroom Discipline Policy

My classroom discipline policy focuses on positive reinforcement and will
be my primary means of discipline. The first week of school, we as a class
discussed possible rules. These are the rules that we decided would help us
have a successful year of learning.
1. Respect others.
2. Do your best.
3. Complete all work.

The students will first receive a verbal warning. The next step is for the
students name to go into the notebook. This is a simple spiral notebook that
helps keep a log of behavior. If a student has their name in the notebook
two times per week, they will not earn canteen for the week.
After they have their name in the notebook two times in one week, they will
begin receiving yellow cards.

PLEASE NOTE – I reserve the right to change my course of discipline at any
point during the year due to a bad offense by a child or in order to improve
discipline.

For further information regarding the school policy on discipline, please
refer to the student Handbook which can be found in the front of your child’s
agenda. Please know that there are many positive reinforcements that go on
in my room daily, such as, verbal praise, stickers, “tickets” for our prize
drawing, and acknowledgement.
