CAREER AND TECHNICAL GOALS 2007 - 2008

1.  To provide a safe, pleasant classroom/lab environment conducive to the relevance, relationships and success of learning for all students. 

2.  To provide technology support, professional development and positive integration with core academic areas to increase the following:

1S1  Academic Attainment:  Reading/Language Arts

1S2  Academic Attainment:  Mathematics

3S1  Secondary School Completion

4S1  Graduation Rate

5S1  Secondary Placement

3.  Increase enrollment and concentrator mastery in Career and Technical programs of study.

4.  Provide parental and student awareness while promoting and encouraging students to earn JSCC Articulated Credits in Early Childhood Education, Business Technology, Manufacturing Technology, and Agriculture Education.

5.  To publicize the importance of Career and Technical Education, forged with core academics plus technical skill application for the global workforce in a mobile society to parents, students and community stakeholders.
