Dealing with Disaster

The May 2010 floods in West and Middle Tennessee caused massive devastation
to many families and residents. The resiliency of Tennesseans is amazing and
evident in every neighborhood. However, it is important to realize that
recovery takes time and sometimes we need help rebuilding our property and
also our lives. Disaster can awaken a wide range of feelings and reactions
in individuals and the community. It is important to know that these are
normal and that there are people willing to help. That’s where the TN
Recovery CCP program comes in.

Purpose

The TN Recovery Project provides free counseling and resource referrals for
victims of the May 1 & 2 Floods and Tornados. The TN Recovery Project is a
part of the FEMA disaster recovery code DR 1909 TN.
