- How long can I keep a book out?
- When can I come to the library media center?
- Who is on staff at our library?
- What kind of books do we have in the library?
- Why do you have boring books????????
- Can I walk through the library during class change?
How long can I keep a book out?
Books are checked out for two weeks. Books can be renewed for an additional
two weeks.
When can I come to the library media center?
Our doors are open to you all day! We are open before and after school. You can also
ask your
teacher for permission to come to the library. You can check out a book, use the
computer, check
out a magazine, or just read quietly. A note from your teacher will be your hall and
library pass.
Sign in when you get here.
Who is on staff at our library?
We have two librarians at MHS now! Mrs. Hearn and Mrs. Freeman will be job sharing
this year. That means each one of us will be working half a week. Somedays we will
both be working in the library. Mrs. Dodson is our library assistant. We are always
ready to help you
find just the book or website you are looking for. Our library is a GREAT place to be.
Come "check us out!"
What kind of books do we have in the library?
We have the very BEST and the most boring books you'll ever read. (Don't pick the boring
ones.) We
try to keep the "hot new reads" that everybody is talking about. If we don't
have what you are looking
for, chances are we can get it. Just let me know!
Why do you have boring books????????
What is boring today, is just what you are looking for next week. Amazing how that
happens. We
have books filled with thousands and thousands of facts. . . boring facts if you're not
doing a paper
on that subject. Amazingly, that book turns into the best book ever when it has all the
facts you
need to "wow" your teacher, or the judge in a contest.
Can I walk through the library during class change?
Yes you can! I like to see your smiling face!!! You can check out our book displays, return
a book, or
just say "Hello,"
Do not, however, cut through during split lunch. We might have a class in session.
