What is the process to apply for a teaching position in Milan?

Application Process for Certified Teaching Positions

1.Milan now takes all applications for employment online.  
Through the MSSD Website, go to the Human Resource link. On the 
left side you will find a link that says Online Applications. 
Click this link and follow all directions. When you have 
finished, be sure to click the submitt button to send your 
information.

2. Certified applicants will be notified by email to set up a pre-
employment interview with Jill Gallmore, Human Resource 
Supervisor.  Non-certified applicants will be notified by a 
principal or supervisor about an interview for the posted 
poistion.

3. Bring your resume' and any teacher effect data to the
interview.

Why does Milan require a pre-employment interview?

We conduct pre-employment interviews to get a chance to speak 
with each applicant. This also gives each applicant a chance to 
talk with someone from the system. We will also make sure we have 
all the needed information for each applicant. After the pre-
employment interview, the principals will have a little more 
information to make a decision on who to interview other than 
just an application.
