Hello, my name is Mr. Simmons.
Welcome to my web page. This page will instruct you on everything you need
to know to be successful in my Algebra I classes, and Reading class. My
Algebra grading is broken down as follows: 70% tests, 10% quizzes, 10%
homework/classwork assignments, and 10% notebook. I also allow students
opportunities to gain bonus points thru out each grading period and drop the
lowest homework grade. You will get various announcements about the subject
such as test dates, report card dates, End of Course Testing dates, etc.
Note: Sudents must score 80 or above in Algebra A to pass to Alg. B. If
students score 79-70 they must take Algebra Essentials the following
trimester. If students fail, they must retake Algebra A the following
trimester. Reading class will be graded as follows: 50% Power Builder and
rate Builder tests, 30% homework, and 20% notebook. Thanks for visiting, and
