| We have just completed the novel The Body Farm by Patricia Cornwell as our
modern literature piece.
Next, students will read a fiction book of their choice from our library.
The book will be due by three weeks from February 29th.
We will be covering the book Wounded Moon by Gary Cook after completion of
the library book assignment. This novella concerns the life of a wildlife
officer in East Tennessee during the 1980s. The officer must contend with
large issues such as poaching, animal cruelty, and black market sales of
animal products to foreign countries as well as cultural and social issues
surrounding the Melungeon people and gifted students. This book was chosen
for collaboration on the Federal Safety Grant awarded to Milan this year.
If you have any books you would like to recommend for English 12, please
feel free to do so. Input is always welcome.
