I am a native of McKenzie who graduated from Gleason School. I attended
University of Tennessee at Martin where I obtained by Bachelors of Arts
majoring in English. I lived briefly in Florida, then returned to receive my
Masters of Science in Education. During my Masters Program, I worked as a
developmental reading instructor on campus. I then worked as a parent
educator with the PEACH (Parent Education and Children's Health) program on
campus.
I began teaching at Milan in January of 2002. I have felt no desire to teach
anywhere else because I have had a wonderful experience here and truly enjoy
what I do.
I have two children: Alex Raspa (age 16) who attends Milan High School (Go
Bulldogs!!!) and Jack Hardwick (age 5) who attends Milan Elementary and is in
Mrs. Leslie Evans class. My husband, Shannon Hardwick, and I own a farm in
McKenzie where we raise
cattle. It is a wonderful life living in the country.
My family is essential to me, but I will always find time to help a student
in need.
Enjoy this school year as I am sure I will.
Reading = Knowledge = Power
My mission is to touch as many lives as possible with the idea that optimism
and a passion for knowledge ignites the fire within every child.
