About The Counselor

Hello Students and Parents,

My name is Dionne Springfield and I will serve grades 9 and 11 this year.  I 
will be your child's school counselor until he/she graduates.  This is my 
seventh year at Milan High School.  Before coming to Milan, I was a social 
worker, mental health therapist, support coordinator and a service 
coordinator.  I am a native of Jackson, Tennessee and attended at the time, 
Jackson City Schools.  I am a proud high school graduate of Jackson Central 
Merry.  I received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from Lane College 
in Jackson.  Having attended Freed-Hardeman University, I obtained a Master 
of Science degree in Community/Mental Health Counseling and a Master of 
Education degree in Curriculum and Instruction.  I have endorsements in 
School Counseling, with certification in grades PreK-12 and Administration 
Supervision with certification in grades PreK-12.
