MATH:
Calculators allowed on TCAP:
Students will be allowed to use a calculator on TCAP, providing they have
used a calculator in class.
The one we are currently practicing with and has been approved by the state
is the (TI 30X II S).
This calculator is sold at Wal-Mart, Target, Office Max, ect... The cost is
about $17 including tax. Please note the above model number. Not all TI 30
calculators function the same, therefore if we are teaching key strokes it is
important that everyone has the (TI 30X II S).
GRADING PERIOD:

The new school calendar is posted the 09-10 in the agenda and on the school
web site.
AFTER-SCHOOL:
Tutoring:
Morning Tutoring is available for all students who need extra help. No
permission form is needed. Students desiring to attend the a.m. session will
need to report to the gym and obtain a tutoring pass from Mr. D. Rhodes, then
report to Room 606/Mrs. Sanderson's room.
The After-school tutoring program will be offered to students who score below
the 50% tile on 2009 TCAP. These students will have forms sent home for
permission and will meet on Mondays and Thursdays until 4:30.
Grade Recovery:
Any student failing any sixweek grading period will be required to
attend the grade recovery class in order to pass for the grading period.
Grade Recovery will be offered on Saturdays.
Saturday School:
Students may come to Saturday School for extra help in any subject,
especially math, or to make up work missed due to being out severals days.
Any student who would like to come to Saturday School for this reason may
contact
me or Mrs. Schunk in order to be added to the list.
SCIENCE:
There will be one Science project each grading period.
Please keep all deadlines written in your agenda.
