Focus for the week of February 13 - 17 :
language standard on Study Island for Monday
Tuesday through Thursday...inference, personal narrative, dictionary skills, spelling, adverbs,
autobiography.
Strategies to help students meet the objectives will be Study Island, rBooks, dictionaries, small
group work, and individual reading books. Daily language exercises will be used to review
language skills.
Objectives for the week:

8.1.02, 8.1.06, 8.1.09, 8.1.11
Every day, as time allows, students will read their books, take book tests
and work on reading
skills on the Read 180 program
Every Monday we use our mobile lab to help nail down skills that we have
studied and those we are having trouble with.
Students in my classroom will be using the Internet program Study Island.
Students can access this program from any computer that has Internet access.
Student usernames are: firstnamelastname180
Passwords are created individually by each student.
Students are encouraged to use Study Island as homework help, as help in a
subject they may be struggling in or just to practice skills they will be
assessed on in the spring.
