| READING CLASS:
Every night, students have to read 30 minutes in their AR book and then
have their PARENT SIGN THEIR READING LOG. Every day in class their reading
Log is checked for parent's signature. Students receive 20% each day and on
Mondays the Log will be collected for a grade totaling 100%. A new Log will
be given every Monday. If absent from school, they may "MAKE UP" the
reading assignment over the weekend before Monday.
If for some reason they forget their AR Book at school, they may read
something else. Such as newspaper, book, ect. Whatever they have as long as
they read 30 minutes. (This should not happen every night. I prefer they
read the AR book most every night, but to cover RARE ocassions when they
might forget their book, they can still earn their points.)If they forget
their Log at school, the parent may write a note saying they read their 30
minutes and then SIGN the NOTE. The note will be stapled to the Log and
credit will be given.
