About The Principal

I am a Morgan County native and graduate from Central High School class of 
1964. I have a Bachelor of Science degree from Tennessee Tech, a B.S. in 
Education from the University of Tennessee, and a Master of Arts Degree in 
Administration and Supervision from Tennessee Tech. I have 23 years teaching 
experience having taught Agriculture Education 19 yrs and Biology for 7 yrs.  
I have 10 yrs experience working in industry employed as a Food and Safety 
Inspector for USDA in the Knoxville. This is my 5th year as Career and 
Technical Director.

Our School's Goals

I. Increase our academic core indicators from 72.95% to 78.67% on the gateway 
tests for concentrator career and technical students  for the 2006-07 school 
year.
2. Increase our graduation/completion rate of concentrators for CTE students 
from 72.95% to 78.67%.We are offering credit recovery classes at our 
Technical Center to students to recover these credits.
3. Increase the reading skills of CTE students by teachers using Reading in 
the Content on a regular basis.
4. Improve the image of Career and Technical Classes by offering advanced 
academic classes such as Physics and Chemistry,and high skill high wage CTE 
courses such as Machine Technology and other courses which reflect the needs 
of the community and the current and future job market for graduates.We are 
currently seeking dual college and post secondary credit for these courses as 
well as industry certification for our students in their program areas here 
at the Career and Technical Center.
