The Bear Facts
March 22nd-26th
I hope that everyone has had a wonderful and relaxing break! I know I have
enjoyed the time with family and friends. I am excited to get started again,
though.
Announcements:
New reading and spelling words will be in B.E.A.R. books today. (Monday)
Report cards for the 3rd 9 weeks will go home on Thursday, please sign and
return them on Friday if possible.
Classroom Need:
If you have any old happy meal type toys that can be used for the class
treasure tub please send them in.
What are we learning this week?
Phonics/Spelling: Long O:ow,oa
Reading: Mister Bones: Dinosaur Hunter, Author’s Purpose
Language: Adjectives for size, review of contractions
Writing: Practice writing alphabet and sentences.
Math: Finishing chapter 14: Counting Money. We will begin Chapter 15:
Addition facts to 10 on Thursday or Friday.
Science: Matter, we will also be doing a project with fossils this week to go
along with our story.
Homework:
Monday: Reading Words sentences
Tuesday: Addition Practice
Wednesday: None
Thursday: Reading passage and questions
Friday: None
