Discipline

Dear Parents,

An important part of your child’s kindergarten experience is to
understand classroom and school rules, and to learn to listen and follow
directions. I have a discipline system, which will help your child and me
with this task!

This year I am using a happy/sad faces for my behavior system. Your
child will have a pocket with their name on it. Every one will start with 3
happy faces each morning. If your child is not following classroom or or
school rules, he/she will be warned the first time. The next time they break
a rule they will turn a happy face to a sad face.If another rule is broken
they turn another sad face over. If your child keeps all three happy faces
the entire day they will get a happy face in their agenda and a ticket. If
they have to turn to a sad face then they will have a note in their agenda.
Please sign your child's agenda each night so I know you checked it. When
your child has 10 tickets he/she may get in my "treasure box."

I feel this system will help keep you informed on a daily basis of your
child’s behavior. I hope you will cooperate with me to make this discipline
system work for our classroom.
