Ever wonder how your Spirit Drive membership fees and fundraiser profits are used by the PTO at Mt Juliet Elementary?

You might be surprised to discover that we...

  • Provide support to our teachers by:
    • Putting money into each teacher's account each fall for use toward classroom supplies
    • Adding funds to accounts for those teaching our "Specials" (Art, Computer, Gym, Library and Music)
    • Extending grants to teachers requesting extra money for specific classroom needs
    • Purchasing other items for the classrooms, like projectors or ink cartridges
    • Hosting a Back-to-School lunch as teachers prepare their classrooms for new students
    • Hosting the Teacher Appreciation Luncheon in the spring
    • Giving year-end gift cards to each teacher to show how much we parents appreciate all their hard work.
  • Provide support to our students by:
    • Rewarding our Superbears with certificates and gifts at PTO meetings
    • Supplying the awards given during AR assemblies
    • Buying the prizes for the AR Store
    • Helping to fund both the Kindergarten and 5th Grade Appreciation parties
    • Creating birthday bags for the office to give your child on his/her birthday
    • Celebrating class, grade or school goals with pizza or popsicle parties

  • Provide support to our school by:
    • Buying mulch, playground equipment and other grounds maintenance needs
    • Helping fund school upgrades

ADDITIONAL Goals for the 2009/2010 School Year Include:
  • Remulching BOTH Playgrounds
  • Purchasing Safety Mats for Concrete Areas of the Playground
  • Ordering AR Books and additional AR Tests
  • Supplying the remaining classrooms with Projectors
  • Researching and possibly buying a machine that puts protective coverings on books
  •          UPDATE:  The Bookcovering machine has been purchased and is in use by the library, educational assistants, and teachers!
