Rules
1. We follow directions the first time.
2. We raise our hands to speak.
3. We keep our hands, feet, and other objects to ourselves.
4. We use kind words and respect each other.
Self discipline is the key to success in life. The goal of my
classroom discipline plan is for students to learn to make good choices that
show good character. Students should know they are responsible for their own
actions as well as the consequences for those actions. I expect students to
follow these rules in order for learning to be achieved.
• Each student will have a worm with his or her name on it. They will
start everyday on the Green apple and for each rule broken they will move
their clip to another apple: yellow apple, red apple, and last the gray
apple core.
• Students will have the opportunity to get a treat from the treasure
chest if their worm has stayed on the green apple all week. Students will
have other rewards such as verbal praise, stickers, treats, and extra
responsibilities such as teacher helper.
• Please help reinforce this plan by checking your child’s behavior
section in their agenda each day and signing your initials in the top of the
box.
Consequences
If a child chooses to break a rule, the following goes into effect:
Green – Your child had a wonderful day!
Yellow – Warning
Red – 5 minutes from recess
Gray – 10 minutes from recess and a note home
Any further misconduct – No recess, call home and/or trip to Principal’s
office
*For extreme circumstances an immediate trip to the Principal’s office may
be necessary.
