October 26th and 27th

Students will complete two worksheets in class. The first one is "Name the State" and the second one is "Name the Capital City".

We will then play a match game about the states and their capital cities.

Homework: I'm giving the students a handout called "Which One Does Not Belong". They must complete it by next class.

October 28th and 29th

Turn in "Which One Does Not Belong"

Branches of government notes.

We will take a 5-question quiz over today's notes.

Homework: I'll be checking the students geography binders next class.

November 2nd and 3rd

Students will do an activity called "Musical State Capitals".

We will take notes today about the differences between urban, suburban, and rural. Students will get a worksheet in class to complete using today's notes.

Homework: Complete the urban, suburban, and rural worksheet.

We will have a test over the United States either this Friday or the first of next week.

November 4th and 5th

Students will read Chapter 5, sections 1 and 2 and take a short quiz over each section.

Student will work on a U.S. Resource Map assignment in class. If they don't finish in class they can turn it in as homework.

Homework: We will have a test next Monday and Tuesday over the United States. We will review for the test in our next class.
