December 14th-18th
Monday and Tuesday classes will be spent reviewing for the semester exam.
Wednesday and Thursday will be exam days.
Friday will be a makeup exam days for students that might have been absent earlier in the week.

December 11th
I'm checking the students' binders today.
Student will get their study guide for next weeks exam.
Homework: Start reviewing for the exam.
December 9th and 10th
Today we will take notes from Chapter 8.
I'll give students instructions for their Latin America project. This will be a group project that we will do after Christmas break. I'm giving them the instructions early so they can have some time to think about what they will do.
Homework: None
December 7th and 8th
Students will work with a partner today.
Answer week 8, 9, and 10 questions.
Complete the Middle America and South America atlas handout.
If time allows we will play "Where in the World is South America" for reward points.
December 4th
Students will watch a video about the history of the Panama Canal. There will be a set of questions that go along with the video.
December 2nd and 3rd
Test over "Terms to Know". Students can use their definition if they bring them to class.
We will take notes on a video about the Physical Geography of South America.
If time allows we will play "Where in the World is South America". oday we will take notes over chapter 7.
We will play a game called "Where in the World is Central America and the Caribbean?". Students will earn reward points by locating places in this region on a map.
I'll give students their next map assignment which is on South America. The map assignment is due Friday.
Homework: Complete the "Terms to Know" before class on Wednesday 12/2 (A-day) or Thursday 12/3 (B-day). We will have a test over the terms during the next class.
November 30th and December 1st
Today we will take notes over chapter 7.
November 23rd and 24th
Students will turn in the map assignment on Mexico, Central America, and the Caribbean.
I'm giving the students a list of 42 "Terms to Know" from chapters 7 and 8. They should write a definition for each term. This list is due next Wednesday/Thursday. We will have a test over the terms on that date. Students can use their definitions on the test.
Homework: Complete the "Terms to Know" before class on Wednesday 12/2 (A-day) or Thursday 12/3 (B-day).
November 20th
Students will turn in the flag and map of a Canadian Province or Territory.
Students will get a new map assignment for Mexico, Central America, and the Caribbean.
Homework: Complete the map assignment
November 18th and 19th
All students will have the opportunity to work with a partner in both activities today.
5-Question Quiz over the provinces and territories of Canada
Open Book Test over Chapter 6.
Homework: Flags and maps are due tomorrow.

November 16th and 17th
6-Question Quiz over chapter 6, sections 1 and 2.
We will review the Canadian atlas activity we worked on in our last class.
Turn in Canada Maps.
I'm assigning each student one of the Provinces or Territories of Canada. They must draw its flag and a map of it too. This assignment is due Friday the 20th.
Homework: Students need to learn the names of each province and territory. Know how to spell them correctly. We will have a 5-question quiz over them next class.

November 13th
I'm giving the students until next class to turn in their Canada Maps.
Today students will work on a Canadian Atlas Activity.
Homework: Complete the map assignment and do it well!
Study chapter 6, section 1 and 3. We will have a quiz over each section in our next class.
November 11th and 12th
Quiz over the video about the White House
Students will do a Venn diagram showing the differences and similarities of Canada and the United States.
I'll give the students a Canadian map assignment.
November 9th and 10th
Test
After the test students will watch a video about the White House. There will be a short quiz over the video in our next class.
