Attach this page to your paper.  Answer each question fully in essay 
form, and use complete sentences.  Write one full paragraph on each 
item listed below.  A full paragraph is a minimum of five sentences, 
but will probably take more to fully explain your answer.  Remember 
to write in complete sentences and restate specific questions in your 
answers.  Books should be a minimum of 150 pages.  Use the following 
format:  typed, double spaced, Times New Roman, 12 point font, and 
standard margins (1 in. top and bottom, 1 ¼ in. side).

Paragraph 1
-	Identify the book’s genre, setting, and point-of-view, and 
give a brief summary of the book’s main idea.  

Paragraph 2
-	Describe each of the major characters in the book.  Include 
which character is the protagonist and which is the antagonist.  
Describe what each character looks like and also what his/her 
personality is like.  Indicate anything special or unusual about 
them, and briefly describe their role in the book.  

Paragraph 3
-	Briefly explain the climax of the book?  How did this event 
affect or change the main character(s)?  What type of conflict was 
present during the climax?

Paragraph 4
-	Give a brief summary of one of the most important events from 
the book besides the climax.  Explain how it is important by 
describing how if affected or changed the main character.  Remember, 
this is a summary, so don’t include every detail!  Identify the type 
of conflict in this event.  

Paragraph 5

-	Describe the resolution of the book.  How was the main 
conflict of the book resolved?  Did it work out well for the main 
character?  Explain your answer.  

Paragraph 7
-	Explain the theme of the book and give examples to back up 
your answer. 

Paragraph 8
-	Did you enjoy the book?  If not, explain what you disliked 
and what you would have changed.  If so, explain what you did like 
about it.
