We will be reviewing for TCAP so students may have short homework
assingments, but on projects. There will be an emphasis on vocabulary as I
believe this is the weakest area for these 8th graders. Parents, please ask
your child if they have any vocabulary they need to practice. Thanks for your
support.
Many stu did not pass the Constitution vocab test. Reminding parents what
stu already know: Any quiz or test that does not receive a passing grade
must be signed by a parent and returned to me. The stu have more
constitution assignments for which they will need their textbooks and the
worksheets I gave them.
We continue our study of the constitution. Part of the work on 011910 and
012010 is to write the vocab. in the Citizenship Handbook in your composition
book. Ask your parents to help you study the words and their definitions.
There will be a quiz on them during class on Thurs. and Friday. There will be
a handout about the Constitution vocab. NOTE: I am unwell. If I am out,
the students will see a film about slavery, takes notes on the film and write
a summary.
