About The Teacher

I am in my 39th year of teaching. I taught junior high in Chattanooga
for 2 years. I taught 1st grade here for one year--1970-71. I began this
current stay at Oakdale in 1974. I love teaching Kindergarten and this is my
36th year teaching this age. Things have certainly changed over the years.
Last year I had a grandchild of one of my first grade students. If I
continue teaching, I will probably have more grandchildren of students.

On a personal note, I am married to Mickey Bingham who is the P.E. teacher
here for elementary grades Pre-K through 5 and 7th grade boys. WE LOVE THIS
PLACE. We have 2 sons, Michael who lives in Oakdale. He works as an
accountant and analyst. His wife is Michele who is a third grade teacher here
and she is very involved with Boy Scouts. They both help with little league
sports. They have 2 sons, Brady who is in 6th grade this year and Brett who
is in 4th grade. Our other son is Jay. He lives in Amherst,Ohio near
Cleveland. He is a financial advisor for Ameriprise. His wife is Meredith.
She is an Office Manager for Cleveland Clinic. They have 3 sons Anderson who
is 4 and Brenden who is 2. Their 3rd son Cooper Wiley is 5 months old. They
follow the Cavaliers, and are very involved with the minor league hockey team
in Cleveland.

Mickey and I both are graduates of Oakdale and Tennesee Tech. Mickey has a
Master's degree from Tech and 45 hours above from University of Tennessee.
Our sons are also graduates of Tennessee Tech. Michael has a Master's in
Business Administration. Michele's Masters is from Tech and Jay and Meredith
also graduated from Tech. We are proud supporters of Oakdale and
Tennessee Tech. I CHOOSE TO BE HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!WE LOVE THIS PLACE!!!!!!

Mission For The Class

Goals for my kindergarten class

To teach the students that learning is fun.

To have a learning environment that is educational, fun and inspiring for
their age group.

To prepare students for first grade.

To stretch their imaginations to include new experiences beneficial to their
education.
To be sure they each one know I love them and want only what is best for
them.

I want them to know to treat people the way they want to be treated.
