Welcome to Reading Encore. We are building a program to strengthen
foundational reading skills. This program includes study skills, test taking
strategies as well as basic reading instruction. I am excited about this
opportunity.
My name is Karen Fesler. I have lived in Cookeville since 1986. My two
daughters
attended Putnam County schools where they received an excellent education. My
husband is a Chairman of the Accounting Department in the College of Buisness
at TTU.
In this class students will practice strategies to make their study time more
efficient. We will learn to study smarter, not harder. We
will do hands on applications of basic foundational reading skills. We will
apply what
we are learning to real life situations. This is a very active class.
Students will be
working together to create projects and help each other succeed. One of our
priorities
is that each student leave the class feeling good about that days work.
