Hello everyone! I would like to take a minute to introduce myself.First, my
name is Maranda Boston Summers. I grew up in Rockwood and I was even in the
first 8th grade class to go through this school building. I graduated from
Rockwood High in 1998 and went to Roane State Community College for two years.
I then headed to Tennessee Tech where I majored in Secondary Education (grades
7-12)with an emphasis on History and Political Science. I graduated from TTU
in the Spring of 2003 and went to work later that fall at Cumberland County
High School. I loved it but I missed Rockwood. I came back the next year to
Rockwood Middle and have been here since. I love this school!
I was married in the fall of 2004 to Adam Summers and we had our first child,
Brody, in January of 2007. We had our daughter, Blair, in March of 2011. To
say that I have been abundantly blessed would be an understatement!
The main goal for this class is to learn more about the world. "If you don't
learn from the past, you're doomed to repeat it." It is essential that you
know about the world!!!
