Student Preparation Form – Overnight Groups
Students should be at the school on Wednesday, Sept
28 by 7:45am
1. Bring ONE Medium-sized suitcase/duffel bag with your name on it.
2. Permanently label all belongings. Any items left at the 4-H Center will be
discarded. It is the
responsibility of each student to keep trace of his/her possessions.
3. If desired, bring a small amount of money for the concession stand.
(5.00-15.00)
4. Bring a plastic bag to store wet clothing on the return trip.
5. This is an outdoor adventure program. Prior to your visit to Camp Explore,
please be aware of
the weather forecast. Pack clothing appropriate for all types of weather
(warm, cold, hot, and wet).
Your clothes may get dirty, so dress accordingly!
THE FOLLOWING ITEMS ARE RECOMMENDED FOR A 2 OR 3 DAY PROGRAM:
Clothing
3 pairs of jeans or shorts 3 sets of underclothes
3 T-shirts 2 pairs of flat shoes (tennis shoes or hiking boots)
1 or 2 sweat shirts 4 pairs of socks
1 jacket 1 pair of pajamas
Set of rain gear
gloves and hat for cooler weather
Shoes may get wet; do not wear your best shoes!
Linens
Twin bed sheets and blanket or sleeping bag
Pillow and pillowcase
Towels and washcloth
Toiletries
Toothbrush, toothpaste shampoo
Brush and comb
insect repellent
Deodorant sunscreen
Soap flip flops for shower
Medicine: clearly marked with name and directions in a ziplock bag. Give to
homeroom teacher.
You May Bring:
Pen, pencil, notebook sunglasses
Camera and film playing cards
Binoculars books
Do Not Bring:
Radio food
Tape or CD player fireworks
Electronic video games firearms
Cell phone knives
Pagers matches
Expensive jewelry lighters
Curling iron Drugs, tobacco, alcohol
Chewing gum
Any items which could be detrimental to the 4-H Center grounds or dangerous to
other participants
Avoid packing items in breakable containers
RCS DRESS CODE WILL BE FOLLOWED. (CAPS ARE ALLOWED HOWEVER)
WE WILL BE RETURNING TO SCHOOL BY 2:15 ON FRIDAY FOR NORMAL DISMISSAL.
