Mrs. Hancock’s Class
November 17-21, 2008
** Please send yellow folders to school everyday.
**No school for students November 24th- 28th. I hope that each of you have
a safe and blessed Thanksgiving break!!! We have lots to be thankful for.
**I will begin taking numeric grades this grading period. Practice your
theme and color words. We will be testing on these soon.
** Tomorrow is Terrific Tennessee Tuesday…remember to wear Tennessee orange.
**November reading logs due Monday, December 1st!!! Keep Reading!!!
** Just a reminder to send water bottle to school everyday. Also, we will
be going outside if wether permits, so please send a coat, gloves, etc.
** Reminder…Tt sound box item due WEDNESDAY!!!
**Show-N-Tell: Pilgrims and Thanksgiving
** This week we will be celebrating National Children's Book Week. We will
be celebrating with some special activities:
Monday: "Hats Off to Reading"/ wear a hat
Tuesday: "Sock It To Me" with a good book/wear crazy socks or a different
sock on each foot
Wednesday: "Looking Good" at a Super book/ wear sunglasses
Thursday: "Sweat It Out with a Good Book"/wear sweatshirts
Friday: Reading is "Beary Fun"/bring a teddy bear
** Tuesday November 18th, our will be having a "Terrific Tennessee Tuesday"
in correlation with the letter Tt...plan now to wear ORANGE!!!
We will be needing the following: gallon of sweet tea, cups, box of Triskets
(triangle shaped if they still have them), squirt cheese, tommy toe
tomatoes, bag of tangerines, and small plates.
** Thank your for sending in notes letting me know how your child will be
getting home. If you have a change in pickup, please send me a note or call
the office…I seldom have time to check email or phone messages until the end
of day.
** Please remember that any time you send in money (lunch money, book
orders, etc.) PLEASE, PLEASE put in an envelope with your child’s name, K-
Hancock and what it is for, and then put in their YELLOW folder. I do not
have time to check 6 pockets on 20 backpacks, but I PROMISE that I will be
checking their YELLOW folders. Thanks for your help!!!!!
