My name is Whitney Hancock and this is my eleventh year at RCS. I graduated
from Carson-Newman College in 2001 with a degree in Family and Consumer
Sciences and an emphasis in Early Childhood Education. (Pre-K-3rd) In April
2004, I completed and passed the Elementary Education Curriculum
Instruction Assessment. In May, I earned a Master ‘s Degree from Union
College. I have taught 3rd grade at RCS for 5 years and Kindergarten for 5
years. I am very excited about my sixth year in Kindergarten. I have been
married to my husband, Bobby Joe for 14 years. He is the pastor at The
Bridge Baptist Church. We have four children, Brady, Brysen, Bevyn and
Baylor. Brady is 12 and will be in the 7th grade this year. Brysen is 7 and
will be in 1st grade. Bevyn is 3 and being the only girl with 3 brothers, she
is rotten. Baylor is 15 months old and into everything. I enjoy spending
time with my family, working on scrapbooks for my kids, camping, going to the
beach and reading.
My mission for my class is that all the children will feel special,
and important. I want to create the best learning environment for
the children. I want the children to feel at home in the class, and
like we are one big family. I want the children to enjoy learning
and being at school. I want this to be the best years of their life.
