My name is Whitney Hancock and this is my seventh year at RCS. I graduated
from Carson-Newman College in 2001 with a degree in Family and Consumer
Sciences and an emphasis in Early Childhood Education (Pre-K-3rd). In April
2004, I completed and passed the Elementary Education Curriculum Instruction
Assessment. I have taught 3rd grade at RCS for 5 years and Kindergarten for
1 year. I am very excited about my third year in Kindergarten. I have
been married to my husband, Bobby Joe for 11 years. He is the pastor and
church planter of The Bridge Baptist Church here in Rogersville. We have
three children, Brady, Brysen, and Bevyn. Brady is 9 and will be in the 4th
grade this year. Brysen is 4 and Bevyn is 5 months. I enjoy spending time
with my family, working on scrapbooks for my kids, camping, going to the
beach, and reading.
My mission for my class is that all the children will feel special,
and important. I want to create the best learning environment for
the children. I want the children to feel at home in the class, and
like we are one big family. I want the children to enjoy learning
and being at school. I want this to be the best years of their life.
