~We are looking forward to April 19 when Steven Riley, author and
illustrator, will be at Rutland for the afternoon. He wrote and illustrated
the books, Little Ty Cooney and the Big Yosemite Race and Little Ty Cooney
and the Big Yellowstone Mystery. Both books are geared toward children
between the ages of four and eleven, and are intended to teach them about our
wonderful National Parks. Throughout each story are illustrations of all the
animals and places one can see as they visit the parks and each story is
complete with a life lesson that can help kids build character qualities into
their young lives.

~Our 3rd Annual Build a Book night and book fair will be held on April 29,
30 and will conclude on May 1 after the Rutland 5k run. This will be a 50’s
theme and a great event for all our Rutland families and community.
