I have had the pleasure of teaching children for the past 28 years. I have been an educator in Tennessee for 20 years and in the state Alabama for 8 years. I have taught Special Education, Elementary Education, and now Gifted Education. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Elementary and Special Education. I also hold a Master's degree in Special Education and have added 54 post-graduate hours towards a Specialist's degree. I have a awesome husband named Bucky who loves all sports and has excelled in many.  We now play golf together and love to travel to play various courses.  I have two wonderful children Lauren and Michael. Lauren was recently married and is working for TVA as an accountant/ Internal Auditor.  She is now living in Knoxville.  Michael started his freshman year at Tennessee Tech in Cookville and is working toward an engineering degree.  I also have two precious stepchildren living in other states.  Lacey is enrolled in the University of Georgia as a sophomore and Reavis lives in Charlotte North Carolina where he is a freshman in high school.  He also plays all sports and wants to play for the University of Tennessee someday.

I love having the opportunity to teach gifted children in Wilson County. It has been very challenging, enlightning and enjoyable to me as an educator. I can't imagine doing anything else.
