Hi, my name is LaTasha Morrow. Currently, this is my eleventh year in the
Metropolitan Nashville Public School System. Ten years of my background and
experience is with Kindergarten and First Grade. This school year I will be
serving as Title I Program Facilitator for both Rosebank and Shayne
Elementary.
I have received a Bachelor's Degree from Middle Tennesse State University in
Interdisciplinary Studies(Education) as well as my Master's Degree in
Elementary Reading and Literacy from Walden University. I am currently
attending the Institute of Children's Literature where my ultimate goal is to
become an author of children's books.
I am an only child and have lived in Tennessee my entire life. I have been
married to my wonderful husband Michael for ten years and we have one
beautiful daughter, Ymani, who will be turning three years old in September.
My hobbies are watching television, reading in my spare time, spending time
with my family and friends, going to church, and singing.
My goal this year is to be a resource to the teachers, parents, and students
in the schools of which I work. I will aid in decision making that will
increase student achievement based on meeting the needs of each individual
school. I will strive to involve as many parents and other stakeholders in
the community to prepare a group of citizens ready to be productive in
society. I will take my job seriously and do it with the best of my
ability.
